| Is the behavior of the lock_kernel() and unlock_kernel() functions on a multi-CPU system running Linux well defined? Is there any possibility that a process/thread running on the "other" CPU sneaks into a critical section that has been defined using these functions, while the kernel is locked by one of the CPUs?
