| I have been trying to get wake on lan to work with no luck so far. I don't know if it's a hardware, bios or linux problem. The motherboard is an ECS 741GX-M with a SIS chipset. The bios seems to support wol and I have enabled 'MACPME' in the bios. When I look at the builtin ethernet port with ethtool it lists the wol capability (g) and I can set the g flag but whenever I shut it down (halt) and restart the wol is always disabled. Running kernel 2.6.18 on Slackware 10.2. Any hints appreciated. thanks, kw ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |
