| Backing up partitions to another drive. Ran afoul of the timestamp issue: no -t on original transfer. Didn't use rsync to do it. So now, using -n to keep things from screwing up, I get all the files in the logfile, and -stat agrees that it should all get recopied. Question: If I now include the -t, does it in fact transfer all the files again, or does it compare the checksums and update the time stamp without transfering all the files themselves? I can't figure this out from the man file... Thanks for any help, Longfellow |
