I am using dosemu and dosemu-freedos under Linux. The emulator appears
to be working fine, but I get no sound from the dos games that I have
installed. I can't tell whether the problem is with the emulator, or
with the configuration of the installed games.

How can I go about troubleshooting this? Is there a simple test program
that could be used to test the soundblaster emulation from within the
emulated dos environment? It would also be useful to know what type of
sounblaster emulation is provided, so that I know what type of card to select
from my game configuration menus.
