I believe the OP has a Toshiba Tecra -- I have one of those and could not get wireless to work. The wireless drivers I tried tended to lock the machine. I'm *guessing* that the drivers expected a 686 processor, but this machine has a 586 processor. Oh, there is no USB on this laptop. It is a great little machine otherwise. video is only 600x800 @ 16 bits, but has a well supported sound card (with a 2.4 kernel and I guess with a 2.6 kernel w/ ISA support). Like I said, install an older distro, a lightweight desktop and use it as a iPod-type system. > > Regards, > > Mark. > -- Robert Heller -- Get the Deepwoods Software FireFox Toolbar!
