Default OUT and INOUT parameters

Hi,

which is a detailed difference between a procedure that has an OUT
parameter and
an INOUT parameters?

May be that with OUT it simulates a return calling so the argument is
modified
and with INOUT it simulates a pass by reference argument to parameter
and
also the argument is modified?

Is it right?
