"unknown option --enable-named-pipes" under OS X - HELP!

After installing MAMP package under OS X, MySQL won't start.

I checked the error log, and keep getting "unknown option --enable-
named-pipes"error on startup.

Running a MacBook Pro, 2.2 GHz Core 2 Duo, 2 GB ram, 120 GB hd, OS X
10.5.2, MySQL community server 6.0.4 alpha.

HELP!!!!
