How can I kill or interrupt a hung or locked query. My PHP web app freezes
up when it does a select on a table that I presume has been locked by
another process. It causes phpMyAdmin to freeze up and timeout, too. When I
tried to do a SELECT or a DESCRIBE on the table in question from the mysql
prompt in UNIX, the query itself just sits there doing nothing. I do not
experience the problem when I go against other tables.
