Default What's next for SQL databases? Jim Melton and Ashok Malhotrapresentation (June 18, New York City)

Jim Melton has been editor of the international SQL standard since the
1980s. In recent years he's written articles and spoken at conferences
about the future direction of SQL (such as when SQL:2003 integrated
SQL/XML functions). Jim will be speaking at the LinkedData Planet
conference in June about the next big thing involving SQL databases
and the Web.

Sir Tim Berners-Lee is keynoting the LinkedData Planet conference, an
event about moving from a web of linked documents to a web of linked
data.

Jim Melton and Dr. Ashok Malhotra (standards architect at Oracle) will
be discussing integrating data from SQL databases as linked data for
the web.

When: June 18 (10:00 - 10:50 am)

LinkedData Planet runs June 17-18, 2008 at the Roosevelt Hotel, 45th
and Madison Avenue, New York City

Besides that presentation, Oracle VP Robert Shimp will participate in
the power panel and Oracle's Dr. Melliyal Annamalai will participate
in the Linked Data Workshop.
